Dub War have returned with details of a new album.

'Westgate Under Fire', their first record of original material in over 25 years, will arrive on August 5 via Earache Records. It's previewed by the first single, and opening track, Blackkk Man.

The fiery rager deals in aggressive, driving guitars and shuffling drums, layered with powerful lyrics that reflect on racism and crucial events from this decade, including the murder of George Floyd. Singer Benji Webbe, who also fronts Skindred, commented:

"This song is exactly how I was feeling at the time of Mr Floyd's murder. This is a cry from my heart for equal rights and justice – and the other boys in the band feel the same as I do. No one chooses the skin they're in - should the skin you're in help you to win? It’s a question we all need to think about! This racist injustice has been going on way too long and, unfortunately, even with all the cries and the pain, it still continues."

Head below to view the song's accompanying video, edited by Aran Webster, along with the album's cover art and tracklist, which sees six different drummers offer their talent.

Guest musicians include Stone Sour's Roy Mayorga on Reveal It, Faith No More's Mike Bordin on Get Back Up, and SNOT's Mikey Doling and Jamie Miller on Crying Clowns. Celtic Cross features In Flames' Tanner Wayne, while Ill Nino's Dave Chavarri drums on Bite Back, with Killing Joke's Spike T Smith on Art Of War, and War Inna Babylon featuring vocals from the late ska legend Ranking Roger.
