Sigrid Drops Bring Me The Horizon Collaboration Bad Life

Sigrid has teamed up with Bring Me The Horizon for a new song, Bad Life.
Following It Gets Dark, the piano-led track serves as the latest preview of the Norwegian artist's upcoming second LP, 'How To Let Go', due out on May 6. It shows off a different side of the Sheffield band's Oli Sykes, who contributes calmer vocals instead of his usual ferocious screaming.
Head below to view the song's accompanying Raja Verdi-directed video. "It tells the story of when things are rough and it can feel like you're never going to stop feeling sad," said Sigrid.
She added: "I'm so excited about Bad Life being out in the world with the Bring Me boys! We’re really proud of this one, and we hope it can bring some comfort It might not be the most likely collab, but we’ve been fans of each other for a while and we’re so happy we could collaborate on this song. And filming the video was an amazing and crazy experience in itself!"
Sykes commented: "Jordan and myself wrote this song in lockdown, remotely. We loved the message but it wasn’t really fitting with the brief of the record we are currently creating. When we found out Sigrid was a fan we felt like it was the perfect fit for her, although initially I was reluctant as I felt like it was such a special record. Then Sigrid asked if I’d duet with her on the track and that sealed the deal!"
This autumn, Sigrid will embark on a UK and Ireland tour, which includes a headline show at London's Wembley OVO Arena on November 12.
Bring Me The Horizon, meanwhile, recently joined forces with Masked Wolf on the Australian rapper's genre-bending single Fallout. They'll headline the Reading and Leeds festival in August, with their Survival Horror European Tour set to follow in 2023.
