Foals have unveiled a new song.

2001 serves as the latest pre-release single from the band's forthcoming seventh studio album, 'Life Is Yours', due out on June 17.

Summery and funkadelic, it'll appear on the record along with the previously shared cuts Looking High, Wake Me Up, and 2am. Head below to view the accompanying video, which finds frontman Yannis Philippakis exploring Spain's Costa Brava. He said:

"2001 feels like a postcard from the past. We moved to Brighton around that time, we were a young band, and there was the feeling of the first taste of independence. The moment you get those freedoms, you’re surrounded by temptation. The references to beachside candy and Brighton rock are symbols for drugs and hedonism.

"This was written in the depths of the pandemic winter, and there’s an escapist desire to break out from the feeling of being cooped up, both in terms of the pandemic and adolescence."

Foals will drop a vinyl repress of their debut LP 'Antidotes' on June 17, in celebration of the 14th anniversary of its release. They'll also headline Latitude Festival, alongside Lewis Capaldi and Snow Patrol, as part of their summer touring schedule.

Foals Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows

Mon June 27 2022 - DUBLIN Fairview Park
Wed June 29 2022 - MANCHESTER Castlefield Bowl
Fri July 08 2022 - LEEDS Millenium Square
