'Our Roots Run Deep' was recorded during this year's spring shows at Dublin's Olympia Theatre, and produced by Phillip Magee. It boasts 17 tracks, including the Irish band's hits and three covers, and an over 80-minute running time.
The record will arrive on October 14 through Fantasy Records. The four-piece said:
“This album is something we’ve wanted to do for a very longtime, it’s also something entirely new to us,” explain the band. “It’s a stripped-down acoustic show with no click, which basically means, it’s very raw and unfiltered. We wanted to try and capture the energy and atmosphere of the night as best we could. It was an intimate show recorded in one of our favourite venues in the world, in Dublin City at home in Ireland. We hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed playing it.”
The announcement arrives ahead of their show at Dublin's Malahide Castle tonight (June 17), Donegal's Sea Sessions tomorrow and Lytham Festival on June 30.
Later this year, they'll embark on the European Our Roots Run Deep Tour that will run throughout October and November. Tickets are on sale now.
