Weezer Announce Broadway Residency, Release 'SZNZ: Summer' From EP Series

Weezer have shared the second instalment in their 'SZNZ' EP series.
To commemorate the first day of summer in the northern hemisphere, the band have dropped 'SZNZ: Summer' as the latest edition of the four-part project.
It follows 'SZNZ: Spring', which arrived on March 20, marking the spring equinox, with each release comprising seven tracks (eight on vinyl) delivering its own unique musical style. While the former EP was a joyful, carefree, dreamy offering, the new one is a heavier affair. Press play below.
The EPs have been dropping on the first day of its corresponding season, with 'SZNZ: Autumn' set to arrive on September 23, and 'SZNZ: Winter' coming on December 21.
The band have also announced a five-night residency at the Broadway Theatre in New York. The first four dates will feature a performance of the EPs in full, with the new songs mixed in with fan favourites. The final gig is billed as Encore, and will include a mix of all the 'SZNZ' EPs along with Weezer hits. Tickets go on sale at 10am ET on June 24.
Weezer's last album came in the form of 2021's 'Van Weezer'. They're currently on the road with Fall Out Boy and Green Day for the rescheduled UK and European leg of the Hella Mega Tour.
