Amanda Shires Releases Title Track Of Upcoming Album 'Take It Like A Man'

Amanda Shires has released the title track of her upcoming solo album, 'Take It Like A Man'.
Following Hand For The Dove, the stirring Americana ballad marks the second preview of the record, which is scheduled for release on July 29 via ATO Records.
Penned by Shires and producer Lawrence Rothman, the song features Shires' husband and bandmate Jason Isbell on guitar. It comes with a video filmed by Weston Heflin at the historic Columbia Records studio in Nashville. Shires said:
"I wrote that last line, 'take it like a man', but then I changed it. I realized you can try and do what they say and take it like a man and show that you can withstand anything. But truly you can only take it like yourself."
Shires will support the LP with an extensive North American tour, kicking off early in September and running through to late November. Tickets are on sale.
