Slipknot Announce Seventh Album 'The End, So Far', Share New Single The Dying Song (Time To Sing)

Slipknot have returned with details of their seventh studio album.
The follow-up to 2019's 'We Are Not Your Kind' is called 'The End, So Far' and will arrive on September 30 via Roadrunner Records. Alongside the news, the Iowa metal icons have shared the punishing new single, The Dying Song (Time To Sing).
Opening with atmospheric synths, the track features Corey Taylor's growled, rapid fire vocals and delivers similar bruising riffs and frenetic lead work heard on the likes of Wait And Bleed, Duality, and Before I Forget.
The song arrives with a slick, arty video directed by Slipknot's M. Shawn 'clown' Crahan, who commented on the upcoming record: "New Music, new art, and new beginnings. Get ready for the end."
Produced by Slipknot alongside Joe Barresi, the LP will also include the 2021 single The Chapeltown Rag among its 12 tracks. Head below to view the tracklist and cover art.
The band will embark on their summer European tour today (July 20), which includes a run of festival appearances, along with arena shows, and their own Knotfest events in Germany and Finland. They'll return to the US for more dates in the fall.
