Låpsley has announced her third studio album.

The follow-up to 2020's 'Through Water' is called 'Cautionary Tales Of Youth' and will arrive on January 20. Introducing it online, she wrote on Twitter:

"I can finally announce that my third studio album, 'Cautionary Tales Of Youth', will be released on 20th January 2023. Over the next few months, I'll guide you through the various tales of the record. I’ve never felt more like my true authentic self within my artistry."

To accompany the news, the Merseyside singer-songwriter has dropped a new song, Dial Two Seven, a minimal electro-pop song that's guided by pitched-down vocals over flowing tribal percussion. It reflects on her time locked down in South Africa after being invited there in early 2020.

Following up July's single 32 Floors, the track's aim is, "to celebrate those experiences I had in South Africa over lockdown," the 26-year-old revealed. "It came together so quickly with one of my favourite producers in the city, Greg Abrahams, collaborating with Omri Dahan and Mikaela Faye. I wanted to translate the adventures, hedonism and love that blossomed between myself and my South African friendship group."
