Beth Orton has released a new single, Fractals.

Featuring collaborators saxophonist Alabaster dePlume, The Smile drummer Tom Skinner, multi-instrumentalist Shahzad Ismaily, and bassist Tom Herbert of The Invisible, it serves as the latest preview of Orton's upcoming seventh LP, 'Weather Alive', due out on September 23 through her new label home at Partisan Records.

Conjuring a deeply meditative atmosphere, the jazz-inspired, piano-based track follows the previously shared cuts Friday Night, Forever Young and the record's title track. The singer-songwriter commented:

"Fractals is a beautiful example of the nature of collaboration, where people come in as they are. You're hearing the first take. I would never have been able to conjure that music without these musicians."

Orton has UK and North American tour dates in the diary this autumn. Tickets are on sale now.
