Linkin Park Share Previously Unreleased Track Fighting Myself

Friday, 24 March 2023 Written by Jon Stickler

Linkin Park have shared a previously unheard song.

Recorded for the band's 2003 LP 'Meteora', the rap-influenced Fighting Myself features clean hooks from the late Chester Benington and rapping from Mike Shinoda.

Following February's Lost, it's the second shelved demo from the record's sessions that took place two decades back. Both tracks will appear on the upcoming 20th anniversary edition of 'Meteora', which is scheduled to arrive on April 7 in multiple formats, including limited physical editions on triple CD, four-disc LP, and a "super deluxe" box set.

Linkin Park released a 20th anniversary edition of 'Hybrid Theory' in 2020, and a deluxe edition of 2007's 'Minutes To Midnight' in 2022. The group have been on hiatus since Bennington's death in 2017.

Earlier in March, Shinoda released a song called In My Head, from the soundtrack for the new film Scream VI.
