Friendly Fires To Continue 15th Anniversary Celebrations Of Debut Album With Winter UK Tour

Monday, 22 May 2023 Written by Jon Stickler

Friendly Fires have announced further shows celebrating the 15th anniversary of their self-titled debut album.

Having commemorated the milestone with a handful of dates earlier in 2023, the St. Albans trio will head to Nottingham, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, London and Brighton between November 23 and December 1.

Each concert will see the band performing their 2018 Mercury Prize-nominated record in full. Confirming the dates, they said:

"We've had such a ridiculously fun time playing these first album shows that we're going to spread the love to some more corners of the UK.

"We're also marking the occasion with special 15th Anniversary re-issues of the vinyl edition of the 'Friendly Fires' LP, and the 'Paris' 12” complete with its iconic Aeroplane remix. Both of these have been out of print for an age, so we thought it’d be good for a few more people to be able to own them. They’re being printed on glorious gold and silver vinyl, and sounding extra-specially luxurious because of it."

Tickets go on general sale at 10am on May 26. They'll also play a hometown gig at The Alban Arena on August 24, alongside appearances at Edinburgh's Connect Festival, and Portsmouth's Victorious Festival.
