The Stranglers Announce Summer Show At The Piece Hall Halifax

The Stranglers have announced a summer show in Halifax.
The hugely influential group will take their 50th anniversary celebrations to The Piece Hall on August 3, as part of the Live At The Piece Hall series. Support will come from Buzzcocks and tickets go on general sale at 9am on Friday (December 15).
Buzzcocks will also join the punk icons at their previously confirmed summer date at Caldicot Castle in Monmouthshire on June 8, which will follow the band's Fifty Years In Black The Anniversary Tour in the spring. Tickets for those dates are already on sale.
The Stranglers' latest album is 2021's 'Dark Matters'. It was their last full-length release to feature keyboardist Dave Greenfield, who passed away in 2020. It's also the first studio record without founding drummer Jet Black, who retired from performing with the band in 2015.
Other acts set to appear as part of the 2024 Live At The Piece Hall series are Blondie, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, Underworld, Rick Astley, Sheryl Crow, Loyle Carner, Pixies, Idles, Nile Rodgers and CHIC, Tom Odell, McFly, Fatboy Slim, Crowded House, Jess Glynne, Status Quo, Tom Jones, PJ Harvey and Richard Ashcroft.
