Waxahatchee Announces Summer UK And European Tour Dates, Shares New Single Bored

Waxahatchee has shared a new single, Bored.
Following Right Back To It, it marks the second taster of Katie Crutchfield's new album, 'Tigers Blood', her first for her new label ANTI-, due out on March 22.
Driven by MJ Lenderman's guitar and Nick Bockrath's pedal steel, the country-influenced track arrives with a video directed by Corbett Jones and Nick Simonite, shot at Devil's Backbone Tavern in Fischer, Texas. Crutchfield commented:
"I feel like my comfort zone when writing songs lies somewhere on the emotional spectrum of sadness and heartache. Writing from a place of happiness scares me. Too earnest. Anger scares me even more. I wrote Bored about one of those situations where anger was called for and was the only authentic place from which to write about what I was experiencing. It was a challenge for me and Bored is the end result."
The Alabama-born, Kansas City-based artist has also scheduled a European tour for the summer, which includes stops in Brighton, London, Manchester, Leeds, Glasgow, Belfast, and Dublin between July 24 and August 1. Tickets go on general sale at 10am local time on Friday (February 16).
The new dates expand the Tigers Blood Tour, which will commence with a previously announced spring North American leg that opens with a hometown show at Kansas City's Uptown Theater on April 18. The first round of dates will wrap up on May 23, with a second run of shows lined up between August 19 and September 8. Tickets for those dates are already on sale.
Waxahatchee's last studio album is 2020's 'Saint Cloud', which was followed by 2022's 'Walked With You A Ways', a collaborative record she released with Jess Williamson as Plains.
