Kneecap Share Title Track Of Debut Album 'Fine Art'

Kneecap have shared the title track of their upcoming debut album.
With 'Fine Art' set to arrive on June 14 via Heavenly Recordings, the energetic offering finds the Irish trio dropping rapid-fire bars over hip hop beats, with inspiration pulled from what they describe as, "the mental reaction of the media to our mural unveiling of a police jeep on fire."
Mo Chara said: "The mural ended up on the BBC with Steven Nolan who’s like the Piers Morgan of the North of Ireland. They had a massive debate about the painting, and he says, 'The band Kneecap claim the mural is just a piece of fine art’. So we sampled it into a dance tune and dropped it in where it kicks. That’s where the title comes from - when we were getting stick about the mural that’s the term we used. Because that’s the best description isn’t it? If you don’t get it, you don’t get it. It’s still fine art."
The group previously teased the Toddla T-produced album with the cuts Sick In The Head and Better Way To Live featuring Grian Chatten of Fontaines D.C.
Kneecap's debut feature film starring Michael Fassbender was shown at the Sundance Film Festival back in January. It'll be released in the US later this summer, having been acquired for cinematic release by Sony Pictures.
Kneecap are currently on tour in North America, with UK shows lined up for the autumn. They'll also play a number of festivals this spring and summer, including slots at The Great Escape, Glastonbury and Reading andLeeds.
