The Tubs have shared a new single.

Narcissist serves as the second preview of the London-based Welsh band's sophomore album, 'Cotton Crown', due out on March 7 via Trouble In Mind.

Following lead single Freak Mode, the new song tackles the grief experienced by vocalist Owen 'O' Williams following the suicide of his mother, folk artist and writer Charlotte Greig. Despite its emotionally heavy subject matter, it offers an infectious, guitar-pop sound. Williams said:

“Narcissist is another tune about dating post-grief. It’s about hearing someone’s a sociopathic nightmare and wanting to be manipulated or abused as a distraction from the larger nightmare of death. It’s also about noticing a kind of sociopathic aspect of yourself in which you see your life as an interesting plot rather than something real and emotionally consequential. So it’s fitting that Nicholls does some of his most Marr-like guitar work, but we also wanted to create a kind of sad crooner atmosphere."

The four-piece will support the LP with a previously scheduled UK and Ireland tour between March 18 and April 6. They also have US shows in the diary for May and June, including dates supporting The Wedding Present. Tickets are on sale now.
