Lady Gaga has announced her seventh studio album.
The follow-up to 2020's 'Chromatica' is titled 'Mayhem' and will arrive through Interscope Records on March 7, marking a return to the 13-time Grammy-winner's pop roots.
Featuring 14 songs, the record explores themes of chaos and transformation, while celebrating music's power to unite, provoke and heal. Executive produced by Gaga, Michael Polansky (her fiancé) and Andrew Watt, with individual producers including Watt, Cirkut, and Gesaffelstein, it'll include the singer's previously shared singles Disease and Die With a Smile, her collaboration with Bruno Mars. Gaga said:
"The album started as me facing my fear of returning to the pop music my earliest fans loved," said Gaga. She described the creative process behind the record as, "reassembling a shattered mirror: even if you can’t put the pieces back together perfectly, you can create something beautiful and whole in its own new way."
The third single from the album is set to premiere on February 2, during a commercial break at the 2025 Grammy Awards Ceremony. Check out the cover art below. The tracklist will be unveiled in due course.
Gaga will join the likes of Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, Stevie Nicks, and Joni Mitchell to perform at Los Angeles' Inuit Dome on January 30 for FireAid, benefiting communities impacted by the recent LA wildfires. Following that, she'll join Green Day and Post Malone in headlining the two weekends of Coachella festival in April.
Last September, Gaga released 'Harlequin', an accompanying album to the film Joker: Folie à Deux, in which she plays Harleen "Lee" Quinzel alongside Joaquin Phoenix.
