Monday, 03 February 2025 Written by Jon Stickler

Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, Chappell Roan and Charli XCX were among the big winners at Sunday's 67th annual Grammy Awards ceremony.

Beyoncé, who was shortlisted for 11 awards, took home three, including Album Of The Year for the chart-topping 'Cowboy Carter', having been nominated on four previous occasions in the category but failing to win for 2008's 'I Am... Sasha Fierce', 2013's 'Beyoncé', 2016's 'Lemonade' and 2022's 'Renaissance'. She said:

"I just feel very full and very honoured.

"It's been many, many years and I want to thank the Grammys, every songwriter, every collaborator, every producer, all of the hard work.

"I want to dedicate this to Ms (Linda) Martell, and I hope we just keep pushing forward, opening doors. God bless y'all. Thank you so much."

The album was also crowned Best Country Album, and she collected the award for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for II Most Wanted with Miley Cyrus.

Other winners at Los Angeles' Crypto.com Arena included Chappell Roan, who picked up Best New Artist, and Kendrick Lamar, who scooped Record and Song Of The Year, as well as Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Song and Best Music Video for his Drake diss track Not Like Us.

Sabrina Carpenter won Best Pop Solo Performance for Espresso, and British star Charli XCX was awarded three prizes: Best Dance/ Electronic Album for 'Brat', Best Dance Pop Recording for her single Von Dutch, and Best Recording Package for 'Brat'.

Kacey Musgraves won Best Country Song for The Architect, The Rolling Stones won Best Rock Album for 'Hackney Diamonds', and The Beatles picked up Best Rock Performance for Now And Then.

French metal giants Gojira took home the award for Best Metal Performance for their version of Mea Culpa (Ah! Ça ira!), which they performed during the opening ceremony of the summer Olympic Games in Paris last year.
