Central Cee, Darkoo, Bashy And Ayra Starr Among 2025 MOBO Award Winners

Central Cee (pictured), Darkoo, Bashy and Ayra Starr were among the winners at last night's MOBO Awards.
London MC Central Cee was named Best Male, becoming the first artist to pick up the award three times, beating the likes of Bashy, D-Block Europe, Ghetts, Nemzzz, and Sampha. He's now the joint most-decorated rapper in the awards' history, tied with Stormzy on seven awards.
Darkoo was awarded Best Female and also Song Of The Year for Favourite Girl featuring Dess Dior, while rapper and actor Bashy was victorious in the Best Album category with 'Being Poor Is Expensive'. He was also crowned Best Hip Hop Act.
Odeal took home the Best Newcomer and Best R&B/Soul Act prizes, while Ayra Starr became the first African woman to take home Best International Act, and the first female winner of the Best African Music Act in 16 years.
Ezra Collective were named Best Jazz Act, Scorcher picked up Best Grime Act, Pozer won Best Drill Act, and TSHA scooped Best Electronic/Dance Act. Best Gospel went to Annatoria, Best Caribbean Music Act was awarded to Shenseea, and ALT BLK ERA were named Best Alternative Music Act.
Celebrating black music in the UK and internationally, the 2025 annual MOBOs ceremony took place at Newcastle's Utilita Arena last night (February 18), with Krept & Konan, Bashy, Spice, and Nova Twins among the live performers. Check out the full list of winners and stream the event below.
