The National's Matt Berninger Shares New Track Inland Ocean

The National's Matt Berninger has shared another track from his upcoming sophomore solo album.

Co-written by Berninger and The Walkmen's Walter Martin, the expansive Inland Ocean features backing soft, breathy backing vocals from Ronboy (Julia Laws), and blends keys with a synth-heavy backdrop.

Following on from the previously unveiled Breaking Into Acting with Hand Habits' Meg Duffy, and Bonnet Of Pins, it serves as the opening track off 'Get Sunk', due out on May 30 via Book/Concord Records.

Berninger will embark on a North American tour on May 19, before UK and European shows in August and September, which include an appearance at End Of The Road Festival in Dorset. Tickets are on sale now.

The National, meanwhile, released two albums in 2023, 'First Two Pages of Frankenstein' and 'Laugh Track'. Last December, they put out the live record 'Rome'.
