Wolf Alice Announce New Album 'The Clearing' And Supporting Tour Including UK & Ireland Arena Shows

Wolf Alice have returned with a new song and details of their fourth studio album.
'The Clearing' will arrive on August 29 via the British band's new label home, Sony Music, following up 2021's 'Blue Weekend', and 2022's 'Blue Lullaby' EP.
Written in Seven Sisters, North London, and recorded last year with Grammy-winning producer Greg Kurstin in Los Angeles, it's previewed by the single Bloom Baby Bloom, which finds Ellie Rowsell stepping away from her guitar and putting her voice centre stage. She explained:
"I wanted a rock song, to focus on the performance element of a rock song and sing like Axl Rose, but to be singing a song about being a woman. I’ve used the guitar as a shield in the past, playing it has perhaps been some way to reject the 'girl singer in band' trope, but I wanted to focus on my voice as a rock instrument so it’s been freeing to put the guitar down and reach a point where I don’t feel like I need to prove that I’m a musician."
Head below to view the song's accompanying video, choreographed by Emmy Award-winning Ryan Heffington, and directed by Colin Solal Cardo, who has previously collaborated with Charli XCX, Robyn, Christine and The Queens, and Phoenix.
They've also scheduled North American, European and UK tour dates for later this year. Their North American tour will take place between September 10 and October 13, followed by a European leg between November 5 and 25, and UK and Ireland arena shows in Manchester, Birmingham, Cardiff, London, Leeds, Glasgow and Dublin between November 28 and December 10.
Tickets for the North American run go on general sale at 10am local time on Thursday (May 22), with the UK and European gigs on sale at 10am local time next Friday (May 23). £1 from every ticket sold will benefit the grassroots music sector and help support emerging artists.
