Kings Of Leon have cancelled a large portion of their upcoming UK and European summer shows.
The Grammy-winning American rockers announced the news in a statement posted to social media, revealing that the performances have been pulled due to frontman Caleb Followill sustaining a serious injury to his foot that requires emergency surgery:
"Kings of Leon are updating fans that Caleb Followill has recently sustained a serious injury, shattering his heel and requiring a significant emergency surgery, that will prevent him from traveling and performing. The anticipated recovery process is expected to take 8 weeks, under strict guidance of expert orthopedic specialists. The band regrets to report that they will need to cancel all upcoming UK and European festival headline shows in June and July of this year.
"Caleb took to social media today to detail his injury in a heartfelt apology to all the fans."
The band are hoping to honour their UK and European appearances after July 12, including Come Together in Newcastle and Portsmouth's Victorious Festival. Refunds for the cancelled shows are available from point of purchase.
They released their latest album, 'Can We Please Have Fun', in 2024.
