Amanda Shires has announced a new album.

The follow-up to 2022's 'Take It Like a Man' is titled 'Nobody’s Girl' and will arrive on September 26 via ATO.

Co-written and recorded with long-time producer Lawrence Rothman in Nashville and Los Angeles, it marks her first album since her divorce from singer-songwriter Jason Isbell, and tackles themes of heartbreak and loss, resilience, self-discovery and empowerment. She explained:

"'Nobody's Girl' is what came after the wreckage, the silence, the rebuilding. It’s about standing in the aftermath of a life you thought would last forever and realising no one is coming to save you."

As a preview, Shires has shared the first single from the record, A Way It Goes, a tender and reflective piano ballad that offers up stirring vocals and strings. Head below to view the song's accompanying video, filmed just outside of Nashville and helmed by director Taylor G. Kelly.

'Nobody's Girl' tracklist:

1. A Way It Goes
2. Maybe I
3. The Details
4. Living
5. Lose It For A While
6. Piece of Mind
7. Streetlights and Stars
8. Lately
9. Friend Zone
10. Strange Dreams
11. Can’t Hold Your Breath
12. Not Feeling Anything
