Whitney Announce Fourth Album 'Small Talk' With New Single Dandelions

Whitney have announced their fourth studio album.
The Chicago-based duo, Max Kakacek and Julien Ehrlich, will release 'Small Talk' through AWAL on November 7, following up 2022's 'Spark'.
It'll include their May single, Darling, along with the newly shared track, Dandelions, a sunny, wistful indie offering that comes paired with a video directed by siblings Alexa and Jessica Viscius, below. On the creative motivation behind the song, lead singer Ehrlich said:
"A couple years ago Max and I were both on the brink of moving across the country to be closer to the people we were dating at the time. Over the span of a few months both relationships somewhat abruptly crumbled, leaving us with equal parts confusion and sadness, mourning the futures that would have accompanied those relationships as well as the relationships themselves. Inspired by those events (and on a whim of Midwestern pride) we wound up spinning the story of Dandelions into one of a big city hopeful who gets chewed up and spit back out into the heartland."
Whitney are currently in the middle of a summer North American tour that continues with a performance supporting Caamp in Nampa, Idaho tomorrow (July 22). Head here for details of the full trek. Tickets are on sale now.
