Whitney have shared another track from their upcoming fourth album.
Serving up a blend of soft indie‑pop and soul elements, Damage marks the latest preview of 'Small Talk', due out through AWAL on November 7. Lead singer Julien Ehrlich commented:
"We were searching for the sentiment of Damage for a while. In hindsight, I think we were trying to avoid writing a breakup song, and in the process ignoring what the song was calling for. I remember once we finally got the first chorus ironed out we were able to see that it was OK to write another song about heartbreak as long as we completed it in a way that felt unique and undeniably ‘Whitney’."
The Chicago duo previously teased the follow-up to 2022's 'Spark' with last month's single Back To The Wind, which followed their earlier tracks Dandelions and Darling.
Whitney will visit Australia for shows in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney next week, followed by two hometown performances at The Empty Bottle in November, celebrating the legendary venue's 33⅓rd anniversary. They'll tour Europe early next year, which includes dates in Dublin, Manchester, Glasgow, Bristol and London from February 21 and 27, before a North American tour in March and April.
