Superchunk Share Final Preview Of New Album 'Songs In The Key Of Yikes'

Superchunk have shared a new song from their upcoming album.
Fueled by propulsive indie-rock guitar riffs, Stuck In A Dream finds the North Carolina band at their most buoyant, and marks the final preview of 'Songs In The Key of Yikes', due out on August 22. Vocalist Mac McCaughan said:
"Based on an actual dream that wouldn't end, it's a late-in-the-sequence upbeat number put there to reward everyone who's listened that far.
"Voted song most likely to become 'fastest and most requested song on the record we never play live', a la Her Royal Fisticuffs and Slow Drip but I think we will learn it for real. Great backing vocals by Laura King."
The group announced the follow-up to 2022's 'Wild Loneliness' in June. Songs already shared from the record include No Hope, Is It Making You Feel Something, Bruised Lung, and their 2024 track Everybody Dies.
Following the record's release, they'll embark on a North American tour in September and October, with support from Tee Vee Repairmann, Case Oats and Rocket From The Crypt on select dates. Tickets are on sale now.
