Slipknot Announce 25th Anniversary Reissue Of Self-Titled Debut Album

Slipknot have announced a huge 25th anniversary edition of their self-titled debut album.
'Slipknot (25th Anniversary Edition)' will be released through Roadrunner Records on September 25 in both physical and digital formats, with multiple variations available, including a limited edition six-LP blood splattered vinyl box set, red and black double LP, and double CD. Additionally, an exclusive double orange LP will be released via their festival site Knotfest. Guitarist Jim Root said:
"We loved what we did with the first record but we didn't even know if there was gonna be anything after that. We just wanted people to hear it. Selling out of records and shows, having successful tours– those are goals for any band. But the dream scenario in some ways, came true for us."
The reissue will contain the original 1999 album, and, depending on the variation, 40 unreleased tracks, new artwork, demos, live recordings, plus never-before-seen photos from the band's personal archives, and more. Head below to view the tracklist for the six-LP version.
Alongside the news, the Iowa metallers have shared a previously unheard demo of the track Prosthetics, featuring slight changes to the opening percussion and a more restrained vocal delivery from frontman Corey Taylor. Press play below.
Earlier this week, the Grammy-winning band dropped a limited special edition of the box set exclusively through their secret site, 742617000027.net, which sold out instantly.
They released their latest album, 'The End, So Far', in 2022.
