Creeper have announced the release date for their new album.
Having teased 'Sanguivore II: Mistress Of Death' in the spring, the British goth-punks have confirmed that the follow-up to 2023's 'Sanguivore' will arrive on October 31.
Described as a "thematic sequel" rather than a direct continuation of the story that unfolded in its predecessor, 'Sanguivore II: Mistress Of Death' was helmed by returning producer Tom Dalgety, known for his work with Ghost, Rammstein, and The Damned. Introducing the concept behind the record, frontman William Von Ghould said:
"Beneath the flashing neon of a distant dream, a rock and roll nightmare is coming true. A vampire band rampages across 1980s America, leaving only corpses behind. But on the horizon, a shadow stirs. Part slasher, part satanic panic nightmare, a new force rises through the mist, ready to hunt the hunter. The Mistress Of Death is a vampire huntress on a path to end this vampire bloodline for good. But can she stake their hearts before the final curtain falls?"
Creeper previously teased the record with their June single, Headstones. Today, they've unveiled a second glimpse in the form of new track Blood Magick (It's a Ritual), which serves up their signature blend of gothic punk energy and '80s-inspired rock riffs complete with their theatrical flair.
Head below to view the song's accompanying Harry Steel-directed video, which Von Ghould described as, "a blood-soaked, sexed up, psychedelic vampire rock fantasy and easily one of the wildest videos we’ve ever made."
Creeper will perform on the main stage at Bloodstock festival this Saturday (August 9), ahead of a run of dates across Europe. They'll also tour the UK as special guests for Ice Nine Kills in December. Tickets are on sale now.
