Big Thief Tease Upcoming Album 'Double Infinity' With Two New Songs

Big Thief have shared two new songs from their upcoming studio album.
The first, Grandmother, is a gentle ballad that leans into the Brooklyn band's more introspective side, with hushed vocals from Adrianne Lenker, and ambient, electronic textures from collaborating artist Laraaji. The second, Los Angeles, offers a more groove-orientated approach around rhythmic, hypnotic guitars. Press play below.
The tracks serve as the latest preview of 'Double Infinity', due out on September 5 via 4AD. Produced by longtime collaborator Dom Monks, the follow-up to 2022's 'Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe In You' was recorded late last year at New York City's Power Station studio.
In early June, the trio introduced the record with the first single, Incomprehensible, which was followed a month later by a second track, All Night, All Day.
They'll support the LP with their previously scheduled US Somersault Slide 360 Tour in the fall. Tickets are on sale now.
