Will Paquin has released a new song, We Really Done It This Time.

Melodic and rhythmic with intricate acoustic guitar fingerpicking, the breezy rocker evokes a western-tinged aesthetic and serves as the opening song on the Nashville-based independent artist's debut album, 'Hahaha', due out on September 12. Head below to view the song's accompanying video, directed by Gabriella Mulisano. Paquin said:

"We Really Done It This Time was an attempt to score my life as a cowboy western, thinking of California and the rocky relationship I had waiting for me there. I was in Vermont at the time, and worried about what I would find out west. The dark, upbeat tone of the song chronicles my preconceived worries about a romance bound to crash before takeoff."

Produced with childhood friend and long-time collaborator William Levin, the album follows a handful of standalone singles and two EPs. Most of it was written while Paquin was touring, processing a breakup, mixing sadness with performing live each night.

"I was on tour, surrounded by loud, live music, so there’s this energy too," he explained. "It's almost like a sarcastic 'hahaha, with tears in my eyes. This album is kind of like re-centering what I actually like and what I want to put out to the world".

The record was introduced in June alongside the release of the single I Work So Hard, which followed the title track in May.

Paquin will support the LP with North American dates in September and October, followed by a UK and European tour in November. Head here for details. Tickets are on sale now.
