Nightmares On Wax, aka George Evelyn, has announced a new mixtape.
'Echo45 Sound System' features 13 new tracks and a full continuous mix, with guest spots from Yasiin Bey, Greentea Peng, Sadie Walker, Liam Bailey and more. It drops digitally on November 14, with a gold double-LP vinyl edition coming on December 5 via Warp.
To coincide with the news, the Leeds-born, Ibiza-based producer and DJ has shared the first single from the project, Bang Bien, a chilled-out blend of downtempo electronica, dub, funk and jazz woven together with the voice of Yasiin Bey.
News of the mixtape follows the announcement of a show on March 12 at London's Royal Albert Hall, where Nightmares On Wax will celebrate the 20th anniversary of 'In A Space Outta Sound' and 30 years of 'Smokers Delight' with a performance featuring a full band, string quartet, choir, guest vocalists, and surprise collaborators. Tickets are on sale now.
Nightmares On Wax released his latest album, 'Shout Out! To Freedom...', in 2021, followed by both a remix LP and a live LP featuring tracks from the album in 2022.
