Kula Shaker Announce Eighth Album 'Wormslayer' With New Single Good Money, Confirm 2026 UK Tour

Kula Shaker have announced their eighth album.
'Wormslayer' will arrive on January 30, following up 2024's 'Natural Magick', their highest charting album in 25 years.
The band—comprising original members Crispian Mills, Alonza Bevan, Paul Winterhart and Jay Darlington—have already teased the LP with the singles Broke As Folk and Charge Of The Light Brigade, with another preview arriving today in the form of Good Money, a blend of '60s psychedelia and retro soul. Commenting on the inspiration behind the song, Mills explained:
"It’s a story about a boy in a small community, who grows wings and how the local people come to treat him. Some think he's a freak, some think he's a cherub, others cynically see him as an opportunity to make money…. Is it a metaphor for the music business? I’d say it’s a metaphor for life.”
On the song's video, he added: "Our last video was all in camera, real stunts, real props and epic battle scenes which people assumed was all AI. So we’ve taken a different approach with Good Money. The whole video is entirely AI generated by two monkeys, we gave them the song and the lyrics and this is what they came up with. It’s kind of mind blowing."
The album announcement comes with news that the band will embark on a UK tour in February 2026. Tickets go on general sale at 9.30am on Friday (September 19).
They've just kicked off a North American headline tour, which will be followed by a series of US dates supporting The Dandy Warhols. Tickets for those gigs are on sale now.
