The Great Escape has announced it will kick off its 2026 edition this autumn with its annual First Fifty launch gigs.
Spanning eight East London venues on November 13, the event will showcase a selection of the first fifty artists set to perform at Brighton's annual new music festival next spring, including James Emmanuel, Girl Group, SISTRA, Persia Holder, The Itch, and Girl Tones.
Elsewhere on the line-up, Dublin folk six-piece Madra Salach and London neo-soul artist Ashaine White will be taking to Folklore's stage, while Max Baby and Irish indie-pop producer Annie-Dog will play the DIY Stage at Moth Club.
Ava Joe, Teenage Joans, Elsa, Really Good Time, SLAG, Saint Clair and many more will perform at venues such as Oslo, Paper Dress Vintage, The Sebright Arms, and The Victoria. Head here for further details.
Additionally, First Fifty has expanded this year, bringing in two new venues, The George Tavern and The Jago. The former will showcase a selection of new talent, including Sean Trelford, Clothesline from Hell, and Tanzana, while the latter hosts a Clash takeover with fresh acts Tommy WÁ, Isak Benjamin, and Dermot Henry.
Tickets for the First Fifty series go on general sale at 10am on Friday (September 19).
The Great Escape festival, meanwhile, will return to various venues across Brighton city centre between May 13 and 16 next year. Tickets are on sale now.
