Mayhem have announced their seventh studio album.
The pioneering Norwegian black metallers will release 'Liturgy Of Death' on February 6, an album that confronts the inevitability of death while delving into themes of loss, fear, helplessness, and the fragility of life. The new record features the same line-up as 2019's 'Daemon': Attila Csihar, Necrobutcher, Hellhammer, Ghul, and Teloch.
Alongside the news, the band have shared the record's lead single, Weep For Nothing, which serves up their signature ferocious black metal aggression with brooding, atmospheric passages.
The band will support the new LP on their Death Over Europe Tour, which kicks off on February 5 in the Netherlands and features a London show at Electric Brixton on February 10. Support will come from Marduk and Immolation. Tickets are on sale now.
Since their last studio album, they released the 'Atavistic Black Disorder / Kommando' EP in 2021 and the 'Daemonic Rites' live record in 2023.
