Dry Cleaning have released another track from their upcoming third album.
Serving up jagged post-punk guitars with Florence Shaw's distinctive spoken-word vocals, Cruise Ship Designer arrives with a video of the band's bassist Lewis Maynard dancing to choreography by BULLYACHE. Shaw said:
"The song is about a cruise ship and hotel designer who’s skilled and paid well, but who doesn’t believe his role has real worth. He tries to enjoy it, and invests himself in meeting the challenges of the job."
It marks the second preview of 'Secret Love', due out on January 9, following the release of the record's lead single and opening track, Hit My Head All Day, in September.
The London band will play Rockaway Beach festival at the Butlin's resort in Bognor Regis in January, before a series of out-store dates and the launch of their Secret Love Tour across North America. The European leg is scheduled for April and includes shows in Dublin, Limerick, Cardiff, Birmingham, London, Glasgow and Manchester.
Dry Cleaning were also recently announced as one of the first acts for next year's Latitude Festival in Suffolk. Tickets are on sale now.
