Dream Nails have released a new single, House Of Bones.
Drawing on resilience, perseverance and self-belief, the fiery track delivers punchy percussion and sharp guitar lines as the fourth preview of the London-based rock trio's new album, 'You Wish', due out on February 6 via Marshall Records. Drummer Lucy Katz explained:
"This song is about finding strength within yourself – and safety in your own body. It’s about finding stability and resilience within. You can’t control how other people act, or act out, but if you hold strong and always know yourself, then wherever you are, you’re always home."
Guitarist Anya Pearson said: "For me, this song speaks to overcoming the prejudice we’ve always faced as women in the music industry. From being told where to plug in my guitar, to not being permitted backstage because it’s ‘bands only’. House of Bones is saying: Haters will hate, but we keep going, no matter what."
Vocalist-bassist Mimi Jasson added: “Nova Twins have an incredible song called Bassline Bitch which we love, and which inspired this song in its simplicity, and extremely gnarly bass part. For the music video, we featured our two jiu jitsu fighter friends - their sparring is just like the song itself - both powerful and playful at the same time."
Fresh from UK dates supporting Kid Kapichi and a Marshall Nights show at London's Old Blue Last, the band have scheduled a series of in-store events between February 6 and 28, alongside their previously announced UK and European tour. Tickets are on sale.
