Black Veil Brides have kicked off 2026 with the release of a new track.
Embracing a darker, more emotionally-charged tone for their upcoming seventh album, Certainty delivers heavy, crunching guitar riffs alongside aggressive deathcore growls. Frontman Andy Biersack shared:
"The concept of Certainty is central to this record and appears throughout the album. The song was inspired by the film Conclave, particularly its reflections on religious certainty and how rigid belief systems can become prisons of our own making. When certainty hardens, curiosity, growth and the willingness to change become impossible. Much of today’s political and social discourse exists inside these echo chambers of absolute belief, and that tension drives the narrative of this record.
"This was the final song written and recorded for the album. It started from an idea Jake [Pitts, guitar] sent over, and it came together quickly over the course of a few days. It felt essential both narratively and musically, capturing the overall tone of what we’re aiming for."
On the song's video, he said: "The music video, directed by George Gallardo Kattah and his team in Bogotá, Colombia, is one of our favourites we’ve ever done. His interpretation of fear and pride as biblical twins is stunning, and the visuals are incredible."
Certainty follows Hallelujah, which dropped last summer, marking the California rockers' first release since 2024's 'Bleeders' EP. Last year also saw the band feature on TX2's track The End Of Us.
The follow-up to 2021's 'The Phantom Tomorrow' is set to be released later this year via Spinefarm, though an exact date has not yet been confirmed.
Black Veil Brides will appear at a number of major rock festivals this year, including Welcome To Rockville and Sonic Temple in the United States, Download in the UK, and Hellfest in France. Tickets are on sale now.
