Tori Amos has announced a North American tour for the summer.
The Grammy-nominated North Carolina artist will embark on the 35-date trek in July, calling in cities such as New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Nashville, Boston, Austin and Philadelphia, among many others, with support from special guest Bartees Strange.
The shows will see Amos joined by long-time collaborators, bassist Jon Evans and drummer Ash Soan alongside three backing singers — Liv Gibson, Deni Hlavinka, and Hadley Kennary — performing songs from her upcoming album, 'In Times Of Dragons', as well as highlights from her 35-year career.
The North American dates will follow her previously scheduled spring European tour, which includes shows in Sheffield, Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, Glasgow, Newcastle, Belfast, Dublin and London, where she'll perform at the Royal Albert Hall on April 21.
Tickets for the new North American dates go on general sale at 10am local time on Friday (January 23). All other shows are on sale now.
The singer-songwriter is set to release 'In Times Of Dragons' through Universal/Fontana on May 1, following up 2021's 'Ocean To Ocean'. Alongside the tour announcement, Amos has also unveiled the record's cover art, created by photographer by Kasia Wozniak using a unique vintage process, working with direct paper positives through the RA-4 process, capturing all images on a large-format camera.
"Each photograph was slowly composed, photographed, and processed. It felt magical to weave Tori’s work and vision with my own," explained Wozniak. "We moved from photograph to photograph with an intuitive rhythm, aligned in every shot. The process became a kind of ritual".
Speaking on the process, Amos shared: "To work with Kasia and Stylist Karen Binns to bring the story and characters to life was a truly moving experience. Seeing our collaborations come to life, with them and the whole team will live with me forever"."
Since her last LP, Amos has put out two live records, 'Diving Deep Live' and 'Falling Upwards (Live 1994)', along with the soundtrack 'The Music of Tori and the Muses'.
Last month, she shared her cover of Bruce Springsteen's Growin' Up from the expanded reissue of her 2001 covers album 'Strange Little Girls'.
