The Baltimore punks will release 'Time Under Tension' through Smartpunk Records on May 8, following up 2020's 'Wonderful Hell'. The five-piece first teased the record with the single Precious Problem last November.
As a new preview, the band have shared the single Messages Unsent, which delivers their signature garage-punk sound alongside lyrics that focus on something different to their usual political themes, with vocalist Shawn Potter describing it as, "the first love song I’ve written in a long time — and definitely the first for this band.
"It’s about the idea that once you really have something to lose, a partner or a life you love (or in this case, my dog Rosie), then you start to care more about your own safety, about sticking around. You start thinking about your mortality, and theirs, and it’s terrifying. But even if we don’t get forever, I like the idea that love can live on."
The accompanying video is just as emotional, showing candid footage from the band's first tour since 2020.They'll embark on a new US tour next month, featuring support from Oceanator. Tickets are on sale now. Head here for details.
