Olivia Dean has been named the official ambassador for this year's Record Store Day UK.
As part of the event, the Grammy-winning and multi-BRIT-nominated London artist will release 'Live At The BBC', featuring live performances of songs by Carole King and boygenius. Recorded for the BBC, the limited-edition black 7" vinyl will be available exclusively from participating independent record stores on April 18. Speaking of her ambassador role, Dean said:
“It’s such an honour to be the Record Store Day Ambassador for 2026. Independent record stores are such special spaces to discover and share music - to actually touch it and feel it. I’ve found so much inspiration in the records I’ve collected over the years and am so grateful for all the hidden gems I’ve found.
"I want to thank the record stores around the world for all the support you’ve given me over the years. It’s so important we continue to support them and keep them alive!"
Previous Record Store Day ambassadors include Sam Fender, Kate Bush, The 1975, Taylor Swift, Sir Elton John and Noel Gallagher. Bruno Mars was recently confirmed as the global ambassador for this year's Record Store Day.
Record Store Day will return for its 19th edition on April 18, with around 300 small and independent shops set to take part, the highest number in the event's history. Head here for more details and to check out a full list of releases.
Dean released her second album, 'The Art Of Loving', last September. Tonight (February 26), she'll take the stage at Manchester's Albert Hall as part of BRITs Week for War Child, before performing at the BRIT Awards ceremony at Manchester's Co-op Live on Saturday (February 28), where she's nominated for Album of the Year, Artist of the Year, Best Pop Act, and two nods in Song of the Year for Man I Need and Rein Me In, her collaboration with Sam Fender. This year marks the first time the BRIT Awards ceremony will take place outside London, with Jack Whitehall returning as host. The show will be broadcast exclusively on ITV1, ITVX, STV, and STV Player.
Dean will take her The Art Of Loving Tour across the UK and Europe this spring and summer, including six dates at the O2 Arena in London in April and June, before heading to North America for summer shows and then to Australia and New Zealand in October. Tickets are on sale now.
