Fontaines D.C. have announced a second outdoor show in Ireland for next summer.
Due to pre-sale demand, the Grammy-nominated and BRIT Award-winning Dublin band, who headlined Reading and Leeds Festival in the UK and Electric Picnic in Ireland over the weekend, will perform a second night at Slane Castle on June 27, the day after their previously scheduled show at the historic County Meath venue.
Support on both dates will come from special guests Hayley Williams, Damien Dempsey and Madra Salach, with more names still to be confirmed.
News of the two Irish gigs follows the announcement of the band's UK and European arena tour this autumn. Their biggest headline outing to date will take them across continental Europe beginning mid-October, followed by UK arena shows in November. Support throughout the run will come from Belfast band Chalk.
Tickets for their Slane Castle summer dates, as well as their autumn UK and European shows, go on general sale at 10am BST/11am CEST tomorrow (September 3).
Fontaines D.C. will travel to the US this month for three festival appearances: Shaky Knees in Atlanta, Sea.Hear.Now in New Jersey and Ohana Festival in California, alongside shows in Brooklyn and Los Angeles.
The band will release their fifth album, 'Dopamine Chamber', on October 16 via XL Recordings. The tracklist is still under wraps but it'll feature the recently shared first single, Marianne.
