Nothing But Thieves Preview 'Stray Dogs' With New Single A Different Kind of Happiness

Nothing But Thieves have shared a fourth and final preview of their upcoming album.
Delivering a softer, more raw side while keeping its rock energy, A Different Kind of Happiness builds from an atmospheric start into a huge chorus as the latest single from 'Stray Dogs', following Baby Kool (Evelyn), the title track and Evolution. Introducing it, the band said:
"A call from your future self, a call from your past. It's about being haunted in both directions. Like a promised version of yourself that never materialised and you got something else. Still trying to learn to deal with that."
The Southend-On-Sea rockers will release the follow-up to 2023's 'Dead Club City' on September 25. They'll support the album with a tour of the same name that spans North America, Europe, the UK and Ireland between January and April 2027.
Before that, they'll continue their autumn run of sold-out in-store dates with a hometown show at Chinnerys with Crash Records tonight (September 9) before stops in Middlesbrough, Leeds, London, Trowbridge, Kingston and Norwich.
They'll also celebrate the album with three newly announced launch shows in three countries over 24 hours, performing in Utrecht, Brussels and London on September 19. Commenting on the ambitious run, they added:
“Three shows, three countries, ONE day. Is this a bad idea? Maybe. Will we make all the shows? We hope so. Will this be a very loud misunderstanding at customs? Almost certainly.
"But ‘Stray Dogs’ is a record about the pack and about momentum, so what better way to honour that than going back to the kinds of rooms where the pack started. See you there.”
Tickets for their three new dates go on general sale at 10am local time on Friday (September 11) to fans who have pre-ordered 'Stray Dogs' from the band's official store before 3pm BST tomorrow (September 10). Their other shows are on sale now.
