Deacon Blue have announced a UK and Ireland tour to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their debut album, 'Raintown'.
The Scottish pop-rockers will play the 1987 record in full at arena shows in Belfast, Dublin, Liverpool, Leeds, Hull, Nottingham, Newcastle, Cardiff, Brighton, Bournemouth, Manchester, London, Aberdeen and Glasgow between October 6 and 29, 2027.
Support acts for the run have not yet been announced. Tickets go on general sale at 9am this Friday (September 18). Lead vocalist Ricky Ross said:
"When we made our first record none of us imagined there would be an audience still wanting to hear it played live forty years on. To recreate the songs and the atmosphere of that debut album will be a great joy for us. Although each night will feature Raintown as the first part of the concert, the second act will include songs from all our albums and we aim to make each night a unique experience. We are thrilled you are all still there to be part of another adventure and we are excited about coming to a city near you in 2027.”
The band released their latest album, 'The Great Western Road', in March 2025, followed by a 'Tour Edition' that September and the 'The Great Western Road Trip: A Live Album' this June.
