Music legends The Rolling Stones are rumoured to be the hot favourite’s amongst the big names to play at the Glastonbury music festival next year.

Mick, Keith, Ronnie and Charlie, now all in their 60’s have been reported to have been approached by Glasto organiser Michael Eavis and have been booked up for the 40th Anniversary festival in June next year.

This rumour has come two years after front man Sir Mick Jagger complained he'd never been invited to perform at the seminal event, Jagger reported to have said, "Glastonbury would have been a good one, but I was never really offered the Glastonbury Festival."

Bookmakers have now also started backing the veteran rockers, whose careers have spanned well over 40 years, slashing odds for an appearance to 4/1 ahead of Coldplay, David Bowie, Muse, Oasis and Take That.
