Leeds based singer-songwriter Corinne Bailey Rae will play a trio of intimate venues later this month.
The young soul singer who developed her talent singing classic tunes in Leeds’ now-legendary Underground Club will perform three intimate shows at the end of the month.
Kicking off in her hometown at Leeds Metropolitan University of March 27th, two days later the singer will perform at Glasgow Oran Mor on March 29th before finishing up at Leamington Spa Assembly Hall on March 30th.
Corinne Bailey Rae was forced to take an indefinite break from music eighteen months ago after the tragic death of her husband Jason Rae from an accidental overdose. However, much to the delight of her fans, the soul singer is back in the spotlight.
Having performed with some of the north of England’s finest musicians, the singer has been described as “'A young and beautiful singer/songwriter with a clear, unaffected talent and a voice to match”.
The exclusive performances are in support of her second album ‘The Sea’ which was released at the beginning of the year on January 26th. Her new single ‘Paris Nights/New York Mornings’ will be released on March 29th.
Support at all the shows will come from Guillemots singer Fyfe Dangerfield.
Corinne Bailey Rae will play the following UK dates:
March 2010
27th Leeds Metropolitan University
29th Glasgow Oran Mor
20th Leamington Spa Assembly Hall
