Drive-By Truckers are an American alternative country band from Athens, Georgia, currently consisting of guitarists and vocalists Mike Cooley and Patterson Hood, alongside Brad Morgan, Jay Gonzalez, and Matt Patton.

Formed in 1996, as a duo called Virgil Kane, with Mike Cooley and Patterson Hood, the band have released 11 albums across their career, including their debut, ‘Gangstabilly’ in 1998, ‘The Big To-Do’, released in 2010 and ‘English Oceans’ in 2014, which hit #16 in the Billboard Hot 200. The band’s latest album, ‘American Band’, was released on September 30, 2016, via ATO.

The band have headlined their own shows and tours across the USA and Europe, including the UK, as well as having supported the likes of Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers.
