Hot Chip are an English electronic band hailing from London. Formed in 2000, the band consists of Alexis Taylor, Joe Goddard, Owen Clarke, Felix Martin, Al Doyle, Rob Smoughton, and Sarah Jones.

Without doubt, Hot Chip are one of the most innovative bands to come out of the UK in modern times. They combine elements of electronica and dance with indie rock and punk, creating a synthpop/indietronica sound that you'll only ever hear on a Hot Chip record.

Since their birth, they’ve released five albums, most recently with 2012's 'In Our Heads’, which peaked at #14 in the UK Albums chart. That record saw Hot Chip touring all over and impressing fans with their amazing live shows, proving they can pull off their slick studio sound on stage too, having toured all overt he world and headlined festivals such as Cheshire's Blue Dot festival and Glasgow's Playground Festival.

In 2015, as well as setting up for the release of their next album, 'Why Make Sense?' Hot Chip played BBC 6 Music Festival. Since, Alexis Taylor has released a solo album in the form of 2016's 'Piano', followed by companion record 'Listen With(out) Piano' in 2017. Their latest, ’A Bath Full of Ecstasy’, is due for release in June 2019.
