Hot Snakes are an American post-hardcore band led by Rick Froberg and John Reis, formed in 1999 in San Diego, California. Reis and Froberg had previously performed together in other bands, after which Reis had found international success with Rocket from the Crypt.
Their debut album, 'Automatic Midnight' dropped in February 2000, and was follwoed by 'Suicide Invoice' in 2002 and 'Audit in Progress' in 2004. The band disbanded in 2005 but posthumously released a live album, 'Thunder Down Under', in 2006. They reunited in 2011.
In 2017 Hot Snakes released a batch of reissues for all of their albums, and followed a year later with their latest, 'Jericho Sirens'. They'll support he new release with two London Oslo dates in October 2018, sandwiched between European dates.
