Ms Lauryn Hill is an American rapper, singer-songwriter and musician hailing from East Orange, New Jersey. Born in 1975, Hill is known for her ability to sing or rap with incredible flair and ease, and is perhaps best recognised as a member of the hugely-successful hip-hop outfit The Fugees.
Selling millions of albums alongside Wyclef Jean and Pras Michael in The Fugees, becoming one of the best-selling and most beloved rap groups of all time, Hill would later embark on a solo career following their disbandment in 1997, releasing her one and only solo album ‘The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill’ the following year - topping charts and going multi-platinum.
That record cemented her place in music history, selling eight million copies and picking up five Grammy Awards including Best New Artist and the prestigious Album of the Year. However, she would soon disappear from the public eye, amidst personal and legal issues.
In 2013, she launched new project ‘Letters from Exile’, releasing her first new music for years. Back in what seems like full force, the former Fugees star played selections from her classic solo bow, ‘The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill’ at shows in London, Manchester and Birmingham during September 2014.
Now, she's back on the road again in 2018, hitting up the UK, Europe and North America by the end of the year, and then Australia and New Zealand in early 2019. Catch her live by checking out the tour dates and concert ticket information below on Stereoboard.
