This concert was one of the best I have every seen, to say this great performer is 75 years old, his voice and performance on the piano is amazing, it is just like listening to a CD, his voice is perfect and Mr Sedaka looked as if he enjoyed every moment he was on stage and I was sorry to see him leave.
I could have sat there for hours - worth every pound I paid and more. The word legend is often used in the wrong context but on Saturday I had the honour of being in the presence of this great Legend.
Neil Sedaka was fabulous last night. He played at the Royal Albert Hall with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and his voice is just as impressive as I remember it from the 1970s.
He played many familiar old songs - several from his wonderful 'Laughter in the Rain' album and he also added in a couple of his new works. Particularly beautiful was his Piano Concerto, Manhattan Intermezzo. The atmosphere was joyful. One of the best concerts I have been to - and a real trip down memory lane!
