Peter Perrett is an English singer-songwriter, musician and producer from Camberwell, South London. He is best known as the frontman of the Only Ones.
Starting his music career in 1973, as a member of England's Glory, he formed the Only Ones in 1976. Following the release of their debut single, Lovers of Today, the band signed to CBS Records and put out their self-titled debut album in 1978, followed by ‘Even Serpents Shine’ in 1979 and ‘Baby's Got a Gun’ in 1980. They split in 1982. Perrett went on to form the One in 1994, who released the album ‘Woke up Sticky’ in 1996, before disbanding. The Only Ones reformed in 1997, and toured the UK, performing at ATP Festival. In 2017 Perrett announced his debut solo album, ‘How The West Was Won’, which arrived in June 2017 via Domino. He'll follow it up with 'Humanworld' on June 7, 2019. Peter Perrett will tour the UK prior to the release of his new record.
